Students in our New Year Program have the unique opportunity to improve their Italian language skills while enjoying and celebrating the New Year in Salerno. In this immersive language program, you’ll be able to participate in cultural excursions and seminars that provide you with a one-of-a-kind learning experience in the South of Italy.
Through the choice of a one- or two-week program, beginning on December 27, you can participate in different study groups and attend four Italian language lessons each day. You’ll also have the chance to combine in-class learning with a variety of high-impact leisure and cultural activities during this magical time of the year in Salerno – the famous capital of the amazing ‘Luci d’Artista’ Christmas Lights Festival, where the local community gathers to ring in the New Year with a big music concert and celebration in the city.

By joining this special program, you can build your Italian language skills and discover all that South Italy has to offer— including notable highlights like:
- Half-day Salerno guided tour under Luci d’Artista Lights Festival
- Half-day excursion to Amalfi
- Half-day visit to a mozzarella factory with a tasting experience
- Seminar: “Christmas Recipes”
- Half-day excursion to Paestum
- New Year party and lunch at school
- Full-day excursion to Pompeii

You will benefit from real-world learning experiences that combine both cultural and linguistic learning opportunities. Key program details include:
- Participants must be 16 years and older
- Four Italian Language Lessons offered each day—from 9:00 to 12:30
- Accommodations within the city center in executive shared apartments or hotels upon request
- Language practice opportunities and cultural activities
- Free day for individual trips
Tuition includes Italian language courses, didactic materials, enrollment fees, activities, excursions, and seminars. Through the program, you’ll be able to explore South Italy alongside like-minded Italian language learners.
